NSVS 14256825 is a bright A-type star (about 0.42 solar masses, 40,000 K, 0.19 solar radii), 821 light-years from Earth. NSVS 14256825 b is a 14.2-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 8.83 years, at 3.120 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.12), discovered in 2019 via eclipse timing variations. NSVS 14256825 adds another data point to the growing catalogue of planetary systems whose masses, orbits, and host-star properties constrain models of planet formation. The planet's marked eccentricity suggests past scattering events or perturbations from unseen companions.
