NGTS-10 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.70 solar masses, 4,567 K, 0.70 solar radii). NGTS-10 b is an ultra-short-period hot Jupiter, orbiting in about 18 hours, and a candidate for rapid tidal decay. NGTS-10 b is a planet with 13.9 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 18.4 hours, and an equilibrium temperature near 1,508 K, discovered in 2020 via transit. The planet was found when it crossed the face of its star, producing periodic dips in brightness that reveal its size and orbital period to space-based photometry. The planet's large radius (13.9 Earth radii) indicates a bloated atmosphere heated by intense stellar radiation.
