Kepler-432 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 1.32 solar masses, 4,995 K, 4.06 solar radii), 848 light-years from Earth. Kepler-432 b is a 5.41-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 52.5 days, at 0.301 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.51), discovered in 2015 via transit. Kepler-432 c is a 2.43-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 1.11 years, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.50), discovered in 2015 via radial velocity. The planet was found when it crossed the face of its star, producing periodic dips in brightness that reveal its size and orbital period to space-based photometry.
