Kepler-1513 is a Sun-like G-type star (about 0.94 solar masses, 5,491 K, 0.95 solar radii), 349 light-years from Earth. Kepler-1513 b is a 0.15-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 161 days, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.31), discovered in 2016 via transit. Kepler-1513 c is a 0.27-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 2.30 years, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.13), discovered in 2023 via transit. The planet was found when it crossed the face of its star, producing periodic dips in brightness that reveal its size and orbital period to space-based photometry.
