K2-50 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.61 solar masses, 4,326 K, 0.55 solar radii), 257 light-years from Earth. K2-50 b is a planet with 1.6 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 8.8 days, at 0.070 AU from its star, discovered in 2016 via transit. EPIC 201833600 c is a planet with 1.0 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 4.0 days, discovered in 2019 via transit. The planet was found when it crossed the face of its star, producing periodic dips in brightness that reveal its size and orbital period to space-based photometry.
