K2-370 is a Sun-like G-type star (about 0.96 solar masses, 5,662 K, 0.94 solar radii), 144 light-years from Earth. K2-370 b is a 11.1-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 2.1 days, at 0.032 AU from its star, discovered in 2022 via transit. The planet was found when it crossed the face of its star, producing periodic dips in brightness that reveal its size and orbital period to space-based photometry. K2-370 b skims its star closer than Mercury orbits the Sun. Its low mass makes K2-370 b a Neptune- or super-Earth-class world rather than a gas giant.
