IRAS 04125+2902 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.70 solar masses, 4,080 K, 1.45 solar radii), 159 light-years from Earth. IRAS 04125+2902 b is a planet with 10.7 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 8.8 days, at 0.077 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 854 K, discovered in 2024 via transit. The planet was found when it crossed the face of its star, producing periodic dips in brightness that reveal its size and orbital period to space-based photometry. IRAS 04125+2902 b orbits well inside Earth's distance from the Sun.
