HD 23079 c is a 8.3-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 5.7 days, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.10), discovered in 2025 via radial velocity. HD 23079 b is a 2.66-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 2.01 years, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.07), discovered in 2001 via radial velocity. The planet betrayed itself through the star's reflex motion — a technique that first revealed worlds around Sun-like stars in the 1990s and remains a workhorse of exoplanet discovery.
