HD 145934 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 2.06 solar masses, 4,824 K), 228 light-years from Earth. HD 145934 b is a 2.07-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 7.53 years, at 4.890 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.08), discovered in 2015 via radial velocity. The planet betrayed itself through the star's reflex motion — a technique that first revealed worlds around Sun-like stars in the 1990s and remains a workhorse of exoplanet discovery. HD 145934 b circles in the outer system, comparable to the Jupiter region.
