HATS-11 is a Sun-like F-type star (about 1.33 solar masses, 6,563 K, 1.54 solar radii), 945 light-years from Earth. HATS-11 b is a planet with 18.0 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 3.6 days, at 0.051 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 1,596 K, discovered in 2016 via transit. The planet was found when it crossed the face of its star, producing periodic dips in brightness that reveal its size and orbital period to space-based photometry. HATS-11 b orbits well inside Earth's distance from the Sun.
