Gl 410 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.55 solar masses, 3,842 K, 0.54 solar radii), 11.9 light-years from Earth. Gl 410 b is a 8.4-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 6.0 days, at 0.053 AU from its star, discovered in 2025 via radial velocity. The planet betrayed itself through the star's reflex motion — a technique that first revealed worlds around Sun-like stars in the 1990s and remains a workhorse of exoplanet discovery. Gl 410 b orbits well inside Earth's distance from the Sun.
