91 Aqr is an orange K-type dwarf (about 1.40 solar masses, 4,665 K, 11.0 solar radii), 44.0 light-years from Earth. 91 Aqr b is a 3.20-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 181 days, at 0.700 AU from its star, discovered in 2013 via radial velocity. The planet betrayed itself through the star's reflex motion — a technique that first revealed worlds around Sun-like stars in the 1990s and remains a workhorse of exoplanet discovery. 91 Aqr b circles its star within the inner habitable zone.
